In America, Thanksgiving was a few days ago. I hope it was a good day for you. I’m glad for at least one day in the year when my grumbly spirit is forced to be put on the shelf so I can practice some acts of gratitude. It would good if it happened more frequently. To that end, I offer this post.
If you find Greatheart’s Table something for which you are thankful, I’d be grateful if you’d rate and review it wherever you get your podcasts.

EPISODE NOTES
Notes and resources relevant to this episode:
The rocks are a nod to Samuel’s “Ebenezer”, his “stone of remembrance: “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said, ‘Till now the LORD has helped us.’” (1 Samuel 7:12)
Brené Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are (United States: Hazelden Publishing, 2010), p. 79.
For a practice of gratitude I again encourage you to check out Adam Tisdale’s encouraging semi-regular newsletter “Double the Joy.” He’s a wonderful guide toward honestly picking up our eyes and looking at the wonderful gifts of God.
