Inasmuch as the title and conceit of this podcast and the newsletter on which it is based is drawn from the allegory Pilgrim’s Progress, I trust you will allow me occasional flights of fancy, such as is this one. Is it a dream? I’m not sure.

I have been pondering, though, the repeated emphasis in Scripture on gentleness, and the seeming lack of it in my own heart, not to mention among many in the church at large.

EPISODE NOTES

Notes and resources relevant to this episode:

Gentleness was in fact correct in this. James 1:17 says

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.”
