Many of you may know that one of my concerns has been and is the guilt and shame of parents whose adult children have made choices troubling to their parents. This sends many parents into an emotional free fall, and often they are in churches where this common situation is neither acknowledged or validated. Consequently I’ve created a retreat for such parents – the next one is in October – that they might gain some perspective and community.

This episode is an introduction to the issue, what I call Off-Script Kids, and is an invitation to parents and to churches to bring this issue to the surface for conversation.

Information about the retreat is in the show notes below.
