Although I write Greatheart’s Table with pastors in mind, the content is often widely applicable. Perhaps I should promote this as being “for pastors and those who have pastors.”

In the case of this episode, a reset of one first released on July 12, 2021, the thought really does apply beyond pastors, as we consider what happens when pastors grow and change in the course of their ministry.

John Webster, Christ Our Salvation, (United States: Lexham Press, 2020), p. 91, 94, 95

John 3:8 suggests that the Holy Spirit is sometimes unconcerned about the predictable and consistent. There, Jesus says, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
