With this episode, we near the end of our working through the book Stott on the Christian Life. It can at times be a challenge to follow Jesus as lord. But not because Jesus’ yoke is heavy. The challenge sometimes comes from our friends.

EPISODE NOTES

Tim Chester, Stott on the Christian Life: Between Two Worlds (United States: Crossway, 2020).

In the Star Wars universe, the Mandalorians were a quasi-religious order who followed a strict and elite code, committed to some mysterious “way” from which they could neither argue nor depart.

The dismissive tweet reference refers to the fate of author Rob Bell at the hands, or keyboard, of John Piper.

That is, not so much “against the world” as “against the church.” To use Latin is a way for an author to make himself look erudite. I’m not sure it works for me, but I’m going with it anyway.
